Logan Brown signs with IU

Senior diver Logan Brown officially signed with Indiana University yesterday.  After receiving offers from several Division I schools, Brown chose IU where he will major in marketing and human biology. Brown is the school and pool record holder at Elkhart Central.  He finished 11th in the state as a freshman and 10th as a sophomore. 

Guipe, Coatie earn Coach of the Year awards

Two Blue Blazer coaches were honored last night at the NIC Awards Dinner.  Michelle Guipe was named NIC Coach of the Year for girls swimming and Will Coatie won the same award for girls basketball.  Each coach was chosen by their peers in a vote among NIC coaches. Brown places 4th at State

Despite battling a foot injury all week, Logan Brown fought through pain to place 4th in the State.  The junior diver had a final score of 460.15. Two Blazer relay teams finished 24th and 23rd last night in the prelims.  The 200 medley relay team of Eric Kelm, Carter Rief, Austin Dreamer, and Chris Quarandillo

Brown takes 2nd at Regionals, on to State

Logan Brown scored 492.30 points last night as he placed 2nd at the Diving Regionals.  He will join Eric Kelm, Carter Rief, Austin Dreamer, Chris Quarandillo, and Adam Krauter this weekend in the State Finals at IUPUI.  Brown will enter the competition seeded 2nd based on Regional points.
