Game Recap

The Elkhart Central Girls Basketball team overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Northwood last night 58-49 in overtime. The Lady Blazer defense held the Panthers scoreless in the overtime period to pick up the team’s third straight win.

Trinitee Harris led all scorers with 20 points, followed by Krisen Hunt’s 15 and Mady Miller’s 10. Makayla Roundtree (8), Ay’Zyana Billings (3), and Raleyah Ross (2) rounded out the scoring.

The JV team lost 37-30 earlier in the evening. Machaela Whitacker paced the team with 8 points and Evan Hobik scored 7. Daneen Swanson, Devine Johnson, and Julee Miller each scored 4 and Taryn Roberson had 3 points.

The Varsity team is now 3-2 on the season and will host South Bend Clay this Friday for their first home game of the season.
