A pair of Blue Blazer volleyball players have recently signed to continue their athletic and academic careers. Nikki Evans signed with Concordia University and Kelsey Cobb signed with Huntington University. Both were key rotation players for the Blue Blazers who went 23-4 in 2016.
“Nikki will do nice things throughout her college career,” said Elkhart Central head coach Yolanda Stahl. “She improved consistently over her high school career. I think senior year her confidence rose to match her skill, and she became a go-to player. She is a hard worker and does what it takes to make her and her team better. Nikki has the heart and the will to do great things, I am excited to follow her collegiate years.”
“I have loved watching Kelsey progress over her high school career.and I can’t wait to see what she does at the collegiate level,” added Stahl. “Her upside cant be measured, Kelsey is a great player and awesome teammate. She is a strong southpaw with high contagious energy. She is also a high IQ player. She played 6 rotations because she can be a strong defensive player, as well as offensively! I love that she will be able to play with her big sister, Kate, who like Kelsey, was also a Rock Star here at Central.”
