Tylar Roberson signed today to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Lourdes University. Tylar will major in Pre-Med at the liberal arts college in Sylvania, Ohio. The 2016 team MVP shined for the Blue Blazers from the moment she enrolled.
“I am very thrilled for Tylar, and for Lourdes,” said Elkhart Central head coach Yolanda Stahl. “They are getting a great athlete, a great student, and an awesome person. Tylar is a very gifted athlete and I expect her to do great things for her team and in her Conference. I am very excited to follow her collegiate career.”
“I’m excited to attend Lourdes because it is close to home,” said Roberson. “It has a great campus and their strong academics will prepare me for med school. As for volleyball, I am eager to join their nationally-ranked team.”
“We are very excited to add Tylar to our program,” said head coach Greg Reitz, who made the trip from Sylvania for the signing. “Her athleticism should aid her in transitioning to the collegiate game. We expect her to be competing for a spot on the court immediately and help us maintain the level of success that we have become accustomed to. She is also a very strong student and that too fits our program’s history of academic success.”
